FAQ

Questions, answered.

How detection works, what it costs, and how your data is handled.

How it works
How does crash detection work?+
On-device AI reads motion and vitals from your wearable or phone, detects high-impact events, and confirms unresponsiveness before escalating — all locally, in under two seconds.
What exactly happens when I press SOS?+
Your alert moves through a clear sequence: armed → cancel countdown → dispatched → a live view of who's coming → stand-down once you're safe. You always see what state you're in.
Hardware & devices
Do I need to buy extra hardware?+
No. DashResQ runs on devices you already wear or carry — for example an Apple Watch and your phone. There's no dongle to install.
Which devices and regions are supported?+
We're rolling out across major smartphones and popular wearables in India first. Support expands continuously — check back or ask us about your specific device.
Privacy & data
Is my health and location data private?+
Detection runs on-device. Your data is shared only at the moment of a real emergency — with responders, EMS and your chosen contacts. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How are volunteer responders verified?+
Volunteers need a minimum first-aid certification and admin approval. Clinical responders are always dispatched ahead of volunteers.
Emergencies & accuracy
What if it's a false alarm?+
Every escalation opens a cancel countdown — “I'm OK, cancel”. Nothing is dispatched until that window expires, so false alarms cost you a single tap.
Does it work without signal?+
Yes. Detection works offline, an SMS-to-112 fallback sends your last known location, and events store-and-forward once signal returns.
Is DashResQ a medical device?+
No. Emergency features are supplementary and do not replace professional emergency services or medical care.
Cost & availability
What's free and what's paid?+
The life-saving core — detection, automatic 108/112/1033 dispatch and contact alerts — is free. Advanced and partner features may be offered as paid plans.
