DRAFT

This is a plain-language placeholder pending legal review — not legal advice. DashResQ handles location, health/vitals, crash and emergency-contact data, so this page is load-bearing and will be finalised with counsel.

1. Who we are & scope

DashResQ Inc. operates the DashResQ emergency-response service. This policy covers our apps, wearable integrations and website. By using the service you agree to the handling of data described here.

2. Data we collect

Location/GPS, motion and accelerometer data, heart-rate and vitals, crash events, emergency-contact details, account information, device identifiers and basic usage analytics. We collect only what the safety features require.

3. How we use it

To detect crashes, score severity, dispatch emergency services, contact your responders and chosen contacts, and improve detection accuracy. We do not use your health or location data for advertising.

4. On-device vs cloud

Detection runs on your device. Personal data leaves the device only when a confirmed emergency requires it, or when you explicitly enable a feature that needs the cloud.

5. When & with whom we share

During a confirmed emergency we share your location and medical profile with emergency services (108/112/1033), receiving hospitals, verified responders and your emergency contacts. We do not sell your data.

6. Retention

Incident records are retained for the period required for safety, audit and legal purposes, then de-identified or deleted. You can request deletion of your account data at any time.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted on a need-to-know basis, with logging and review. No system is perfectly secure, but life-safety data is treated with the highest controls we can apply.

8. Your rights

You may access, export or delete your data, and withdraw consent for non-essential processing. Withdrawing consent for core safety processing may disable emergency features.

9. Children

DashResQ is not directed at children under the age defined by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect their data without verified guardian consent.

10. India data law (DPDP Act)

We process personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, including notice, consent, purpose limitation and grievance redressal. Cross-border transfers, where they occur, follow applicable safeguards.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and the 'last updated' date above will change.

12. Contact & Grievance Officer

For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact our Grievance Officer via the Contact page. We respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
